Overview
Enjoy a morning out on the water in tranquility with Yoga Teacher Rosalie Mattiola (@rofloyoga) and Burton Outdoor Adventures. Rosalie will give brief shoreline instructions on paddle board safety before launching into the calm waters of the shore-side cove. We’ll take our time to get our sea legs with a Stand Up Paddle board (SUP) lesson, and move slowly down the serene, narrow fingers of Lake Lanier. After getting comfortable on the SUP, we’ll return to the cove to drop anchor in our aquatic yoga “classroom” for a 1-hour gentle SUP yoga class.
Highlights
- No experience necessary in paddle boarding or in yoga. *Small children and anyone with baseline balance or walking problems are encouraged to join in the adventure but watch from shoreline with appropriate supervision.
- You will likely get wet! Therefore, please bring as little as possible onto your board. Come prepared with pre-applied sun protection, pre-departure hydration, and an after-class towel. There will be an area for you to safely leave your valuables inside the locked office if you prefer to not leave them in your car. It is highly discouraged to bring any valuables onto your board, though you may do so at your own risk.
