About Jim Crow Road
Thank you for visiting our page so you can come see us and paddle! We felt in today’s social climate it is necessary to give some background about our address “5962 Jim Crow Road”. Jim Crow Road was named after a local resident Glenn C. “Jim” Crow. This is an unfortunate coincidence with the nomenclature from the 1880’s Jumpin Jim Crow shows and the naming of “Jim Crow” laws aimed at discriminating against African American citizens. Below are links about the history of Jim Crow and the renaming of a part of Jim Crow Road (G. C. Crow Road) that we encourage our customers to explore.
